ASK ITALIAN COMPETITION

ask logo We are sooooooo excited to announce that our friend Gina who works in the romantic world of advertising has given us a mahoooosive  voucher worth £50 for one of our readers to win and spend on a meal at an ASK ITALIAN restaurant of their choice ….. to celebrate the launch of  a new menu inspired by a really good cook called Theo Randall and the million changes (which is quite a lot) they have made to their restaurants ..... Gina sent us this pertinent information to peruse and explain .....
“Theo Randall, one of the UK’s most celebrated chefs, has been working with ASK Italian to transform the menu step by step with dishes that keep authentic, fresh ingredients at their heart.  He believes that “by using really great quality ingredients in dishes across the menu, like our extra virgin olive oil from Puglia, the food now brings a little piece of real Italian dining to the high street.”
With over one million changes made to date – from the menus to the uniforms, music and Milanese-inspired decor – customers will experience the ‘cuore’ (heart) and ‘spirito’ (soul) of Italian food and culture from teams who are knowledgeable, genuine and passionate about making ASK Italian amazing every time.”
ASK Italian 3
….. how BRILLIANT is that? If we could, we would enter ourselves, but that would be unfair and we would be branded as competition rigging charlatans ….. !
Darrells choiceHowever, to give you an idea of what lies in store for our lucky winner, Darrell and I have each put together what we would have chosen from the delizioso menu ….. which took us many hours of perusal, robust and diligent selection and much  dribbling because EVERYTHING looked so nomtastic and tempting!

Now that is one special prize! Not to worry, I will have an ordinary (but delicious)cheese pizza to celebrate this super great prize for one of your devoted readers. I bet Mr. D most certainly must have beautiful restaurants in Dubai where perhaps he can also celebrate this perfectly wonderful and generous prize for a lucky fan. Good luck to all and Best Wishes from Dianne

Excluded! Oh no! I feel terrible. Never mind Dianne. Abu Dhabi is a culinary delight. We won an all you can eat brunch for 6 at a quiz last week and I did overindulge.
The FESTA DI CARNE pizza and the POLLO MARSALA look superb. If I had been allowed to enter, I would have gone to Durham, if I were up north or I would have invited Monkey, Darrell, Nigel and Mrs. G to the Shrewsbury branch.

What a deliciously festive prize! I would choose Rigatoni di Manzo Piccante because it would make me sound so authentically Italian when I ordered it. I don't think it's possible to say it without adopting an Italian accent, actually! And because I would order it in Cambridge I would sound clever too ;) xx

George has spent a very happy half hour this afternoon perusing the menu and making gentle nom nom noises to himself. Having spent some time in training with Monkey and Darrell, he does consider his palette and taste buds to be up to the task in hand (or mouth, should he be lucky enough to win!!) After a few changes of direction he has opted for...drum roll please ...Penne al Pollo Della Casa. He says he has choosen this for 2 reasons; firstly it sounds nomtastic and has all his favourite flavours - pasta, chicken, chesse, mushrooms and a little fresh thyme for good measure. Secondly, being the 'speciality' of the house, George feels that this would be a good test of the nom rating he should accord to the restaurant if he was lucky enough to take on the job of restaurant reviewer. Move over Michael Winner, George is coming through!! Love and hugs to you all and thanks for the chance to win such a fantastic prize, George and Jacky xx
P.S. Our destination of choice would be just a few miles away in Fleet!!

What a fantastic giveaway!

My choice for a main course would be Risotto Vegetariana & the location would be Southampton.

I must admit I've not heard of this restaurant before, will have to investigate in the new year...

Thanks

Well I am upset that they do not have a restaurant in my favourite eating place of Chorlton, or even Manchester, but the menu looks superb. Sooo... my main of choice would be PENNE AL POLLO DELLA CASA, and I would choose the ASK restaurant in Oxford. My son lives there with his girl-friend, so I could treat them to a meal out.
A brilliant competition. Happy Christmad to you all, and love from Benji too. Thanks for your Christmas card.

Wonderful prize, would love SALMONE RUSTICO as my favourite main but very difficult to choose, and would choose the Worcester restaurant as I am going to collect an honorary degree with my family from Worcester University later in the year and it would be a lovely way to celebrate. Hugs Bee
