Way back in the summer we donned our gay apparel for a photo shoot to capture the “perfect” festive image to compliment our 2011 Christmas Card. It was a swelteringly hot day and to put it as politely as we can, we were sweating like big burly glass blowers blowing round a kiln by the time we had finished and our suits had to be sent to be fumigated dry cleaned due to our unfortunate bodily moistness.
When the photos finally came back for our final approval it was hard to find one where we all looked “normal”, no squints, no tongues, no sticky up hair ….
….. and above is our picture of choice, the three of us posing with an old table cloth as our festive back drop, not as romantic as we would have liked we have to admit ….
….. but with a bit of crafty jiggery pokery from a lady we know and occassionally commission, it was soon covered up!
And on Sunday afternoon we sat at the kitchen table, with the likes of Shakin Stevens, Slade and Sir Paul McCartney playing in the background while we wrote our said cards.......
We each came over all warm and fuzzy ….. thinking about all our friends….
….. to quote Carol Nelson “Christmas is a time when you get homesick - even when you're home”.

What a great card and an excellent photo. Well done to the crafty lady. Why was it done so long in advance?
I don't think there's any chance of snow where I am.

Wooohooo! ours arrived on Thursday. Thank You very much. It was so nice of you to think of us at this busy time of year.
Archie was still recovering after an exhausting morning rehearsal for the nativity play (with his new friend Murdo who lives with our music teacher)when the card arrived. I could have sworn I saw a tear in his eye when he opened the card! I think I had one too when I realised that we had been sent a 'Duchess Original'
Merry Christmas to you all♥
Lynne & Archie
