A Full On And Robust Family Debate ……. Re: A New Life .......

On arrival back at Castle Greysquirrel I was very, very nervous about broaching my thoughts to Darrell and Nigel on the possibility of our, one day, perhaps, making a new life Evesham ……… so I thought it best to leave it until after all the Easter festivities
…… So last night (as there was absolutely nothing on the TV),  I decided it was time to take the bull by the horns, and sit them down at the table for one of the most serious family debates we have ever had in our utility!!!!
Yes, I think it came as a surprise, but not a total shock, and it helped that Nigel was still full of our few days away …..
……..and who, after a some very deep musing plus some very deep frowning, eventually wondered out loud about the prospect of, if we moved, us being on Location, Location, Location and getting Phil and Kristy to find us a perfect new Castle Greysquirrel, but in Evesham!
And then …..  it struck him …. very robustly, that with our moving would also come the leaving behind of The Cook Lady, the kitchen and sauce rotation for him, confidential document shredding for Darrell and booking buses for me, and that ….. was mahoooosively scary and serious stuff of almost astrological proportions!
……. and so he went very quiet, again!
….. only to say, with a shrug of his shoulders, “Why not?” …. it would be a wonderful rollercoaster type journey, that was not just the prerogative of X Factor contestants! And so …… after several hours of batting ideas to and fro, sustained by several large pots of tea and perhaps a few too many packets of malted milk, hob nobs, ginger nut biscuits and Monster Munch,  we all came to the same conclusion as Nigel’s “why not?” ……………….  why not indeed?
But, ever cautious, we are not going to rush into anything too hastily ……. it was agreed that for a while we will spend part our week in Evesham chez Snake Mountain  to become acclimatised to the ways of Evesham and the other part at Castle Greysquirrel to desensitise ourselves of our Wolverhampton ways and lose our accents  …… so a doubling of our adventures really!!!With this most momentous decision made, we decided to get on with rest of our Easter Break and Darrell’s impending trip to London to see Hugh, his best friend and mentor who lives the showbiz life in Notting Hill to obviously discuss and mull these matters over with him……… me thinks we have many exciting days ahead!

Great news!
Why not indeed?
Moving isn't as difficult as you think.
I can't see Mum losing her accent any time soon.

Oh Boyz - exciting times ahead me thinks. Hope you aren't going to leave us all behind in your new life. But understand that things change and we move on. But through it all - (there's a song in those four words somewhere) you offer me a chuckle every day. JantheFan x
