Emotional Is Rife As Our Christmas Tree Is Put Up ……

Yesterday morning Darrell volunteered to decorate the Christmas Tree this year, loyally aided and abetted by Nigel.
He rummaged about in our bauble boxes for ages, emitting the occasional artistic tut, sigh and hmmmmm,  before declaring that he was only going to use “Frozen Colours” this year, an homage to his most favourite film of all time Frozen ……what is he like?
……. and it did look very romantically festive and Frozen colour themed  when it was finished, but Nigel, without saying a word to Darrell, thought that there was perhaps a little something missing in the true Frozen compartment department!!
Poundland FrozenSo, without rousing any of Darrell’s suspicions, he said he was just nipping out for a while …… with the intention of visiting one of the poundshops in town where he thought he had seen a few choice Frozen bits and pieces that he knew Darrell would absolutely love, and finish the tree off to perfection.

Nigel was back within the hour, flushed with success, to be honest, Darrell had hardly noticed his absence ….. however, his return was very much noticed …… let’s just say it was very emotional!
IMG_7183Nigel had bought Darrell back some proper Frozen baubles, which had him reaching for copious tissues …….

……. a Frozen wreath for his bedroom door ……..
IMG_7181AND …… some Frozen paperchains ……. poor Darrell, always a martyr to his emotions, was reduced to a soggy, weeping wreck!!!!

However, when suitably recovered and composed, he and Nigel set about making up the paper chains ……
IMG_7191…… there was enough to not only put around the Christmas tree, but also in Darrell and Nigel’s bedroom …..
IMG_7193Whatever would we do without Nigel, his enthusiasm to embrace everything is intoxicating (…. but not of an alcoholic nature)  …… he managed to fill the house with so much festive joy …… that even I have to admit, I was a little emotional!!!!
