And the shops? Well there certainly wasn’t a Tesco Express or MotorWorld to be seen. The shops in Broadway are very, very quaint, possibly aimed more for tourist market than someone just wanting to nip out for a packet of fishfingers, some custard creams and a jar of Marmite!
Darrell reckoned it would have looked most rude if he hadn’t just tried it out for size!
He also thought he might as well do a quick check of the local properties to see if there was anything suitable for a potential Casa Del Greysquirrel ……I am afraid I don't think we could even afford a garden shed!!!
In the end Darrell decided that perhaps Broadway wasn't quite the place for us. We’d have to wear tweed and plus fours all the time, and if we were ladies (or Hugh), definitely a twinset and pearls!!! We would also probably end up driving a Range Rover, own a chocolate Labrador and go huntin’, shootin’ n fishin’ at the weekend, as well as saying “Tallyho old thing!” instead of “All right cocka!”
I think we are best suited to Evesham, where at least we won’t need lessons of an electrocution type nature to speak proper!!!

You can always visit seeing as it is so close.
Broadway certainly looks lovely, in a touristy way. Keep looking in Evesham & the right property will appear.

Oh my!..This is a very special treat to see Broadway in such a personal way!....LOVED EVERY picture.....from a tourist standpoint, the Cotswold villages are very famous here in the US for their beauty; we do see calendars featuring the villages that compete for the Most Beautiful Village title....those homes are picturesque and beautifully represent the ideal village images.....I have always been a fan of them, but my silly side always poses the ridiculous question: "do they have rising damp?"....have always presumed they have central heat and all the modern updates....loved Darrell and the bicycle.....I know you will find a new Castle Greysquirrel with equal charm but NO tourists lurking about!..Lovely, lovely Broadway; "dream a little dream with me".....many thanks for this very special treat....with village dreams, Dianne
