Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire, Pringles Resplendent In A Bowl …….

Darrell and I made sure that we had reserved our festive Tesco delivery well in advance, and to make sure there wasn’t any risk of our losing this precious spot, we put three bottles of tequila and a pack of dishwashing scourers in our basket so we knew it was secure and to show that we are serious customers.

But yesterday afternoon we asked Hugh if he would mind us sitting down to sort out our order proper, for us, probably the most important shop of the year, a time to splash out and treat ourselves to some luxury items of a festively comestible nature!  We were doing brilliantly, until we came to the Pringles, our festive crisp of choice………

…….. there were 13 different flavours, some of them new, including  seasonal pigs in blankets,  and to make matters even worse, they were all on special offer!  What’s a monkey to do,  especially as we had only put two tubes (one plain and one cheese and onion) on our original shopping list?

Let’s just say, Darrell’s hand moved very swiftly over mine and took command of the mouse, and now I think we will be eating Pringles until Easter, what’s he like, but, as he reasoned, it IS Christmas!!!
