Darrell Indulges In A Bit Of Rod.

The last time we all saw Rod Stewart was at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, it was Darrell’s special treat, but, it’s hard to believe that it was just over three years ago now? It was a wonderful, wonderful night, something we will never forget, but in his heart, for an aficionado like Darrell, it wasn’t quite as good, perhaps, as a “proper” Rod concert.

….. and ever since then Darrell has been patiently waiting for his gravelly voiced hero to tour again so he could see him for the umpteenth time, he hasn’t missed a UK tour yet!NIA BhamAnd to celebrate Darrell threw caution to the wind, going the whole hog by treating himself to a night at The Holiday Inn, with continental breakfast included, well, it would be rude not to, wouldn’t it?
NIA Rod StewartDarrell says Rod did not disappoint.
Rod Stewart NIA BhamHe did a full two hours on stage and all his hits from Gasoline Alley to his latest album Another Country.  It’s hard for Darrell to put his finger on his favourite Rod song, but good rousing rendition of “Sailing” never fails to get him swaying and feeling a little seasick and then there’s “Do You Think I’m Sexy”, a shower favourite of Darrell’s, usually followed by “Hot Legs”.  What is he like?Rod Stewart NIAAnyway, Darrell said it was emotional, and he hopes he won’t have to wait another three years before he can do it again.
