He Shall Have Fresh Flowers Wherever He Goes …….

Though we live in a robustly male household, it has to be said that we still very much appreciate a  fresh flower or two around The Towers, this usually means a  bunch of £3 roses from Aldi bought on a Friday, but with the hedgerows and riverbank now starting “to offer….” to quote Darrell “…their abundant treasures of a floral type nature”………
bbb ……. he has been tripping, with some gay abandon I have to say, to gather a few in his “romantic” flower picking wicker basket, a gift from Hugh, having first naturally checked The Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981 to make sure he isn't contravening any laws in doing so.
IMG_2582I have to say that they are a breath of fresh air and look lovely in a very delicate type way on our window sills.IMG_2585It’s also pretty typical of Darrell to be extra critical of his flower arranging skills, but I have told him that flowers like these are best plonked and let to fall naturally rather than be plumped and preened to an inch of their lives like the “showbiz” displays that adorn the aforementioned Hugh’s Notting Hill home.

Freshly stolen, I'm sorry, I mean freshly picked. I suspect they will last longer than those from Aldi. And you can pop out and get some more.

Looking good - plonked, thrown, dumped or strewn.
