Peace has descended upon The Towers, a brief respite for me as Darrell and Nigel accepted a very kind invitation to stay in Bude for a few days. The invitation was the most fortuitous timing as Nigel had been muttering something about feeling the call of the sea one last time before we had to hunker down for the cold months ahead…….
There was a little to-ing and fro-ing from them, feeling guilty about leaving me on all my own, so I took the opportunity to pack their bags and have them standing in the hall ready when they nipped out on one of their mooches!!!!!

Enjoy your peace as it won't last once those two are back. Hugs Mrs A.
A little time alone can have some benefits for everyone!....busy days often mean the need for your own (uninterrupted) quiet time...Enjoy your peace and quiet at the Towers.....do love your reunion shirt... Love, Dianne
PS still some internet problems
Again, a thank you to everyone for their concerns for us as we faced the hurricane..... have emailed Mum with the details.....scary time but we came out better than we could have hoped...house and we are intact but neighborhood a mess.....Irma was 200 miles across and moving 14 to 16 MPH so she was battering everything in her path for quite a while......we had her from Saturday evening to Monday night.....the wailing and howling with things crashing and banging outside becomes nerve-wracking!....we are very grateful we were so very lucky.....Best wishes to everyone, Dianne
PS Mr.D, happy you and your family are all right; .... many miracles needed for the school children and all others in the rubble.
With you there Monkey - sometimes one's own company is all one needs! JantheFan x
There was a young woman from Bude,
Who went for a swim in the nude,
But a man in a punt,
Grabbed at her elbow,
And said "Hey, lady, you can't swim here, it's private property."
Thanks Dianne.
Hugs,
Mr. D
