Darrell’s Weird Imagination .......

While out and about in Worcester this shop caught Darrell’s eye ……  its name in particular …..

…… thinking it was a name evocative of a dark and sinister Sunday night period drama, (after Antiques Roadshow), introduced with great gravitas ……. “The House of ….. Dogs” ……..  but not actually having a dog(s) anywhere in the plot!  What is he like?

Maybe it was a dyslectic sign writer, who meant to write "House of Gods." A bit like Valhalla, in Wagner's Ring Cycle.

Do they sell nectar and ambrosia? (Not the rice pudding or custard.) Ambrosia and nectar were the Greek food and drink of the gods. But not of the dogs, that I am aware of.

In Valhalla, they ate golden apples, which stopped them getting old. No Nigel, not golden delicious, I'm afraid, although one a day may keep the doctor away.

the name does leave you wondering and questioning if it is a positive or negative sort of place!.....much to see and ponder when you are out and about in Worcester.........Love, Dianne
