With Nigel and Darrell having their own adventures over the past week or so, I decided that I should follow suit and have a few “boys only” days away with Young Master Bertie in a caravan, booked at the last minute, in Weston Super Mare.
Not being too far away Young Master Bertie and I were on the beach and building castles within an hour and a half of leaving Evesham, when the The Lovely Laura mentioned that chicken pox was doing the rounds at nursery, so had helpfully included some Calpol in Berties bag, just in case!
I have to say that Young Master Bertie is a very exacting taskmaster when it comes to building sandcastles ………..
……. and my fetching countless buckets of water when the tide was right out!
All I can say is that I really earned my packed lunch of cheese and tomato sandwiches, swiftly followed by a 99 ice cream, complete with juice, sprinkles and nuts. The weather bodes well, but I have a feeling that I am going need to keep my strength up in Weston, with just me and Berts!
