Peter Kay – The Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour.

peter kay Peter Kay Tour 2010
Due to the tight security the at the “gig”, as we aficionados like to call them, I wasn’t able to have any pictures taken of me at the Manchester Arena – however, as we were driving down on Thursday night, I took a couple of pictures of a Marmite tanker which I found very exciting …..
Picture 163 Picture 164
It was a bit of a rush as we couldn’t leave Wolverhampton for Manchester until everyone had finished work and so didn’t have time for tea …….
Picture 162
But we had a pretty comprehensive picnic in the car provided by Aunty Jan (and Asda).

Souvenirs were beyond my pocket money (no 30p each or 4 for a £1 box here) But I did manage to get some streamers from the massive explosion at the end, which will hold plenty enough memories for me in the future and I will treasure them greatly.
Mr Kay was BRILLIANT, so funny I wish I hadn’t had the last mini pakora in the car!  It would have been nice to have gone backstage and ask if he could sign a bit of my streamer but it was late, I expect he was entertaining some of the cast from Coronation Street in his dressing room and we had a long journey home.  An evening of magic nevertheless.
…… Ross Noble – my comedy hero is coming to Wolverhampton soon , I wonder if he will remember me when he sees me waiting at the stage door?

A Locket for Molly

Locket Locket for Molly
I found a locket from Ali’s 30p or 4 for £1 box - I thought it would be nice for Molly.
Locket 1 Looking at locket
It’s made out of real metal and it comes with a set of pictures of puppies and kittens to put inside ….. I wonder if it would be thought presumptuous if I put a picture of me inside instead.

I don’t want to seem forward.

When I have  decided what picture to put in, I will wrap it in tissue paper and put it in this small brown box I have found and then wait for an apt occasion to give it to her.

Magic Writing

Magic Pen
Ali at the paper shop across the road has got a wonderful box on his counter that has lots of things in for 30p each or 4 for £1.  I had a really good rummage and found this wondrous pen.
Invisible Ink
When you write with one of the pens you can’t see what you’ve written.
A Magic pen
But, when you rub over it with the other pen ……. you can see what you’ve written.

How BRILLIANT is that?

A Cross I Have To Bear.

Picture 101
I spent last night practising my crosses so that I wouldn’t make an silly mistakes when I go to vote later today.
Picture 107
Darrell watched me, and told me which crosses he liked best.
I could not help but think that if the voting gets very close, my cross could become the deciding vote and this responsibility weighs heavy upon my shoulders.

Who Does He Think He Looks Like?

 Cyril
Cyril is a worry to me ….. I am thinking about writing to Jeremy Kyle about his obsession with The Jeremy Kyle Show – he has been going on and on about taking a paternity test, he hasn’t got the faintest idea what it means, he thinks it’s like a GCSE!

Aren’t magnifying mirrors brilliant, every little pore on your skin looks like a moon crater.

May Day 2010

maypole
How exciting – I like to embrace ancient traditions and so will be dancing round any May Pole I come across today, skipping with gay abandon, going under and over, clasping a brightly coloured ribbon ….. (I hope I get the purple one, because that’s my favourite colour) and wishing all bank workers a very happy Bank Holiday - “Happy Bank Holiday Bank Workers”

My First Video Clip!

Waddling Duck

I bought this little clockwork duck from Ali at the paper shop from his 30p or 4 for £1 box. I thought a picture of it would be nice .... but then I got an even better idea.....

……. I’ve made a little film to show you it working …….

How BRILLIANT is that????
I know it’s very basic but I am very proud! With a bit more practice who knows what I'll be able to do ....

Aren’t Calculators Brilliant!

Monkey with a Calculator
Calculators are dead good to add hard sums up with, but I’ve just learnt how to make words on mine – how BRILLIANT is that?
Bible spelt on a calculator Making Words on a calculator
I can spell BIBLE and BLOB …..
Picture 001 Spelling on a calculator
……. and GIGGLES and HELLO.  There are lots of other words you can make too – but I don’t do rude ones.

Marmite – Food from Heaven?

Marmite Cheese Hmm Hmm
Just when you think that life can’t get any better something happens and you realise that it can and does ……
Marmite Cheese Does Life Get any Better Marmite Cheese Hmm Hmm
Because someone has invented Marmite Cheese and it’s BRILLIANT.
Marmite Cheese - yum yum
It ticks all my foodie boxes, and look what’s coming next, Marmite cheese spread ……. I can't wait to spread it on my floury bap. I intend to badger the village Tesco Express until they get some on their shelves.

I love Marmite cashews, but they are quite expensive and I have to save hard to buy a packet and so far I have only found them in Sainsbury’s.

I am also partial to Marmite rice cakes and crisps. However, I can take or leave Marmite breadsticks.  I wonder if I could get a job as a taster at the Marmite factory?

More Of A Hindrance Than A Help!

Tristan made a suprise visit to Wolverhampton yesterday, he said he had to pick up some new studs for his rugby boots and as he was passing, he offered to assist me while I am helping out in the Reprographics Department – but he was a bit of a hindrance really ….
Picture 010
I found him hiding under the toner shelf ……. first I spotted his head poking out …..
Picture 011
and then Molly’s head popped out too ......
Picture 013

They were trying to make me jump and had planned to leap out and yell "BOO" if I hadn't spotted Tristan first – what are they like? However, I did have to shoo them out after, as I had paperclips and elastic bands to count out and share amongst the staff, I didn't want to start an international incident if they weren't in pigeon holes by the end of the day!

No Cash In My Attic!

Picture 031
It was a good job Angela Rippon and a full camera crew weren’t behind me me when I went up into the attic, because they would have found absolutely nothing to take to auction!
It was quite a struggle to get up there.
Picture 035
And after all my struggling to get up the ladder all I found was an old computer steering wheel thing
 Picture 042Picture 045
An old empty trunk and a child's wicker chair.
Picture 038 Picture 040
No objets d’arts anywhere.
Picture 046
Angela would have been so disappointed, the BBC would have wasted TV license payers money and I have no money to take my family to Alton Towers!  As Doris Day has been known to say or sing "Kay Sir Ra Sir Ra" .......

Pondering ……..

Thinking
Today I am lost in my thoughts.
I like marmite on my toast in the morning,  but I also a mug of Bovril at Wolves on a match day ……… but which is better?
Hi Angie - to answer your question ..... vegemite - ugggghhhhhhhh - I find it has a strange glutinous texture and there is something about the flavour, I bought it once just to try - yewwwwwy -
