Currently there is an ad on the TV for Nationwide Building Society that irritates us sooooooooooo much (even though we bank with them) that we fight for who can reach the remote fastest so that we can change channels, no matter what we are watching, until it is all over!
We know it’s a totally irrational irritation, but it’s the same whenever Cliff Richard or Alexander Armstrong are on ……
……. they just make our toes curl so robustly, we almost get cramp. What are we like?
But yesterday poor Nigel got the fright of his life because there they were again, the girls, not Cliff Richard or Alexander Armstrong ……. he said it’s as if they are haunting him with cringiness! He is now looking for a new route to go for his chai latte until the poster is removed! Poor Nigel!

Oh I have been spared this ad - however I will gird my lions and watch out for it! As for Pointless - each to their own, but for me, the words, paint and dry come to mind. JantheFan x
Know the feeling about some commercials testing my very last raw nerve!.....at the least, I hit MUTE as faaast as I can; others it is just plain quickly change channels ......the constant repetition makes you hate the product or offering!....Love, Dianne
I've not seen the ad either. But I LOVE Pointless and the relationship between Alexander and Richard helps to make the show enjoyable.
