If there is such a thing as a Creteophile ….. I think we would all hold up our hands and confess to being one.
It’s our most favourite Greek island ever (so far) …….. and we have only seen the tiniest bit of it.
It’s when we go out for our constitutional stroll in the evening as the sun is setting ……..
…… and the atmosphere begins to mellow that we think it comes out the most …….. and then we feel soooooooo truly blessed in a Hello magazine type way that destiny/fate/The Gods have/has bought us here.
There is absolutely nothing that we don’t adore about this Greek paradise, well, except for one thing ………
……… Darrell isn’t very keen on the idea of the giant white beans he has seen on most of the menus, he says they give him the hebbie jebbies, but he can’t explain why, except that it might be a perceived texture sort of thing! What is he like?
But from the sheer romance of a Greek door and a beach front Greek windmill we’ve got it by the cornucopia full ……..
And as for the Greek balls (of a culinary nature, naturally) well, Nigel has had them all ………..
……. always as his starter of choice! Vive la Greece as they say …….. somewhere?

¡Viva Grecia! As Grecians might say in Mexico.
Are the beans like bitter beans? School dinner, anyone?
Oh - next time - take me. How romantic you paint a picture - with or without a few balls between friends. JantheFan x
Bitter beans? I meant butter beans.
