Christmas Charity Shop Shopping With Nigel ……

We’re so on the cusp of the most wonderful month of the year, we can almost smell the mince pies and as such Christmas shopping has now started in earnest Chez Towers ……..

We’re trying to be as sustainable as possible in our selection of Christmas gifts this year and as such Nigel, bless him, is intent on scouring the many charity shops of Evesham with a keen eye and prudent budget, to procure the perfect something for everyone. Hugh, Darrell’s best friend, mentor, committed vegetarian and recipient of a (certified) blessing from a beatified Pope (RIP) has always proved to be a little problematic as he seems to have everything (twice over), but this year it’s been an absolute doddle for the little fella.  One considered purchase very much in the bag!!!!!  I’ll just leave his choice with you ………….

2. St. Drogo – Unattractive people

5. St. Valentine – Greeting card manufacturers!
6. St. Clotilde – Disappointing children
7. St. Benedict of Nursia – Spelunkers
8. St. Catherine of Alexandria – Unmarried girls, apologists, potters, spinners, archivists, dying people, educators, girls, jurists, knife sharpeners, lawyers, librarians, libraries, maidens, mechanics, millers, hat-makers, nurses, philosophers, preachers, scholars, schoolchildren, scribes, secretaries, spinsters, stenographers, students, tanners, theologians, University of Paris, haberdashers, wheelwrights, Philippines and Greece!!!
