News Of A Wonderfully Romantic Type Nature …

We have wondrous and joyful news to impart …..

…Tom the Scientist and the Lovely Laura are betrothed to be wedded!  When they told us, there wasn’t a dry eye chez Chateau Castle Greyskull. T’will be a late summers wedding and to say that we are robustly over excited would be a mahoooooooooooooooooooooosive understatement.  In truth we are effervescently delirious to almost the point of overflowment!

We haven’t seen the Lovely Laura’s betrothal ring yet as the diamonds are still being polished ….. but, we are sure it will embellish her betrothal finger most romantically.  Lucy told us that the general rule of thumb when purchasing a ring of an engagement type is that it should cost between one to three months salary … we know that the Lovely Laura loves Tom soooooooooo much that really a gummi ring would be sufficient to cement their future commitment, however anything over and above that would be the extra icing on the (wedding) cake! Both Darrell and I have noted this rule in our diaries, just in case we, ourselves, ever decide to succumb to the delights of matrimony.

We have never been to a wedding before, let alone been amongst the main wedding party, and we are not sure yet what major roles Tom and the Lovely Laura will bestow upon us, although Nigel is adamant he wants will be a bridesmaid and scatterer of rose petals!  Naturally this all has to be robustly debated , however, Tom can be assured that his erm…… Best Men  (could we suggest) will look most resplendent in our kilts, which we can assure him will not date the wedding photos in years to come!

I dare say that there will be much mention of the planning of this Hello Magazine type event in the coming year …. but for the moment can we raise our glasses and toast the happiness of Tom and the Lovely Laura and the tangible and palpable joy that they have bought to both families……. to Tom and the Lovely Laura ……Bottoms up!
