Let’s just say, now it’s over, last weekend was quite a weekend, with thanks to the all the snow ………
Before the snow on Friday evening Nigel had travelled back to the homeland of Wolverhampton to spend a couple of days with Lucy, hoping, amongst other things, to gaze upon his beloved Motorworld knitted nativity …….
…… and then embrace a Jade House crispy chilli beef and egg fried rice from our also beloved ex Chinese Takeaway ………
……. But alas, it was not to be, the road to both being so treacherous on Friday night as the snow came down that they were forced to turn around, leaving Nigel’s said nativity ungazed upon and their much anticipated meal apologised for, but sadly uncollected, and two Morrison’s pizzas heated up instead.
Meanwhile at Hugh’s country pile in Worcester, Hugh and Darrell were whimsically tossing logs on Hugh’s blazing fire with gay abandon ………
…… toasting crumpets and muffins plus the odd chestnut and marshmallow ……
…….. while outside everything was slowly being transformed into a wonderful winter wonderland ……..
……. which Darrell proclaimed to be almost too picturesquely romantic in a pre-Christmas, let it snow type way. What on earth is he like?
And me? Well, I had a very quiet and peaceful, snowball free, duvet weekend………. sorry no pictures available!!!!

Oh my, it really is a beautiful winter wonderland!.....perfect amount of snow at home; but truly not travel winter......Hugh's country manor is even lovelier with the snow.......been seeing pictures of London and they are pure Christmas magic......actually had some HOT tea when our temperature has been in the high 40sF and low 50sF at night; back to 70F in the daytime.... Love, Dianne
Shame about missing Wolverhampton but Hugh's country pile looks great in the snow.
I just got back from England, where it was -5°C ( 23°F for Dianne) and today in Mexico City it is expected to be 24°C (75°F) with a low of 7°C (44°F for our American friends).
I'm glad you kept most of that snow down there - made a change! JantheFan x
