It’s only been the shortest of visits to Bude, but the little fella has certainly packed in as many of its pleasures as he could, sadly, some not featured as his camera got a touch wet and then came over all steamy ………
……. however, he still managed to witness and capture Bude’s wonderfully romantic tempest tossed seas …….
…….. the famous canal, classed as one of the most unusual in Great Britain ……
……. the beautiful Bude Light Sculpture ……
……. the grounds and footpaths round Bude Castle, with it’s stunning views …….
…….. not to mention Morris Dancers and charity stalls, before rain stopped play for a while on the Bude Heritage Festival.
He even managed to “do” all Bude’s most excellent Charity Shop Emporiums, a few of its lovely eateries ………..
……. and finest, highly recommended, baked on the premise, real life Pastie Shop …….
…….. followed by a little drive to enjoy the most humungous clotted cream ice cream while sat sitting in the car, overlooking Widemouth Bay, as the heavens opened up yet again …….
Sadly, no stones with faces to be found on this trip ……….
……. but, as he was on his very best, if not impeccable behaviour, Nigel is really hoping he’ll be invited back again next year, when he can do everything he missed out on this time sadly due to the very inclement weather and lack of time …….. fingers crossed, to be honest, I wouldn’t mind an invite myself!

I'm sure lots of us wouldn't mind an invite. Lucky Nigel. His charming ways gets him to all sorts of places.
The clotted cream ice cream sounds fantastic.
Well Nigel managed to take some great photos-the light sculpture looks very interesting.
