Horse Box Envy …….

We’ve just found out that our lovely gentleman friend who lives in the horse box just on the periphery of our estate has been told to move on …….

….. as said horsebox and him living within, will attract undesirables to the area?

We understand the legal legalities but what harm is he doing? In fact, when the dark nights hit, heading home from the school run, young Nigel is reassured by it’s presence, as there are no street lights in that area and if ever he were to feel in the slightest bit uneasy on that final 50 yards or so to our estate, he knows he would be safe in knocking on the door and seeking sanctuary or at least getting our friend to escort him the rest of the way.

It goes without saying that Darrell has been given a tour of said box and says it’s absolutely stunning, practical and incredibly romantic.  He has full blown horsebox envy, with its pine panelled walls and cupboards going across the bottom and on the wall, a single bunk bed at either end, beautiful flooring, even a built in Belfast sink, all handcrafted and fashioned by our talented friend.

We don’t want him to go, but hope if/when he does, it won’t be long before he returns, we’re not going to tell!

What a shame your friend has to move. I hope he finds somewhere close, pleasant and safe to park. Ideally some landowner will let him stay on their land, and your friend can provide a bit of security, by being there. A case of mutualism or symbiosis.

Oh that's such a shame...these homes can mean the world to their owners. They have been lovingly created.
Have you ever watched this tv programme - they are not all million pound motorhomes. Some are built from scratch, just like the horse-box home.
