Well, the festive tubs of seasonal chocolates seem to have well and truly landed in the supermarkets …….
…… and it would have looked rude not to make an early considered purchase, especially when we already had enough Tesco vouchers to get one, for what could be regarded as free.
However, is it me, or do, with every passing year, said tubs get smaller, and contents fewer? And, this year we think the new eco friendly wrappers seem to be a little too erm ….. generous for the contents, making them, in turn, appear to be a little bigger than they actually are?
Anyway, we’ve counted and verified that there were 65 chocolates in the tub, 62 now, as we obviously needed to check them for full freshness, texture, flavour etc.
However, we are already thinking, after many years, that we might just give this sort of seasonal offering a miss this Christmas and instead see what Gummy Gumdrops in town has to offer in way of homemade chocolates and fudge for something a little more select and unique! It’s a hard tradition to break, but who knows what delights may await us!

our tub of Celebrations has got my mouth watering!
Mind you, supporting the local shops is a very good thing, too.
65 chocolates doesn’t seem like a lot. Sometimes it’s good to change so it would be interesting to see what you might purchase instead.

Your tub of Celebrations - not our tub. Unfortunately, they aren't available here.
Oh def - live life on the edge - a little trip to Gummy Gumdrops seems the best place to me. Might pay a bit more for the pleasure but hey, it might be well worth the extra penny or three. JantheFan x
