Not As Romantic As It Might First Appear.

We’ve been experiencing some very spooky, pink, night skies of late …….

…… but, their origins may not be quite as impossibly wonderful and romantic as they first appear.

Sadly, they are not the Northern lights (aurora borealis), which is on all our bucket lists to experience ……..

…… no, these eerie yet beautiful skies come as light pollution from the greenhouses in nearby Offenham ……

…… it’s something to do with the refection of the lights on the roof of said greenhouses ...........

........ as they turn them on to encourage the plants to continue to grow, now the daylight hours are getting shorter and dimmer, so sadly, nothing untowardly romantic, nefarious or unworldy ....... just forced growing!

It does look eerie. Mrs. D and I are looking to go to Iceland (the country, not the shop) in March, to see the Northern Lights - it is on our bucket list, too.

The timing of this post is a little unusual. Did you plan to post this before Halloween? I assume you aren't talking about next halloween.

As Toyah Willcox might say - "It’s a Mystery." (How many of you have now got a certain song in your heads?) :)

What a topsy turvy world we live in, forcing plants to grow??? Hope they aren't screaming as they do! JantheFan x

p.s. Yes Mr D - life is often a Mystery to me, whether I hear a young punky Toyah singing it or it is just life in general. JtF
