We had some “experience” gift vouchers we needed to use up, there wasn’t a lot of choice for the amount we had left, without adding to it, so in the end, after a little none heated debate we opted to use what we had on some gourmet popcorn.
We awaited it’s arrival with baited breath ……..
……. with mature cheddar cheese, peanut butter, salted caramel, double chocolate caramel and popcorn cups on the menu for our delectation.
It was the cheese popcorn we were looking forward to most and it did it not disappoint.
The rest was also perfectly acceptable to, coming in resealable bags, just in case you had any left after a little nibble session, perhaps in front of the TV.
Obviously gourmet products come at a premium……. it was all very lovely, but if it hadn’t been a credit left over from a hotel booking type voucher scenario, it was a luxury, we all agreed, we could perhaps live without ……..
…….. especially when Nigel pointed out that we could have bought the equivalent of eight gigantic tubs of the stuff for the same outlay in Home Bargains …….
……… which would probably last us until part way through next year……..
What on earth is he like?

Worth a try, but not worth the price?
At the weekends, during the lock in, sorry, lockdown, Mrs. D and I watch films. We make our own popcorn, from the kernels. We used to use hot oil, in a huge saucepan, but, we bought a machine. It isn't as good as the oil, but it is far healthier, so we can eat twice as much. :)
That reminds me, must get my machine out and get those kernels in....love a bit of popcorn. Never had it with cheese though! JantheFan x
