This morning you find Darrell and Nigel very happily ensconced on a short caravan sojourn in Dawlish Warren, a last hurrah before winter sets in, if you will.
In the past, we’ve had, some very lovely welcoming touches from the Welcome Crew like cream tea, cakes and biscuits ……..
……. and this year was no exception ……..
……. with Darrell and Nigel finding a very expectable Somerset cider waiting for them, chilling to perfection in the fridge, which Darrell’s says will go down very nicely indeed, as they are sat sitting, chilling on the decking on a balmy (???), autumnal Dawlish Warren evening! What are they like?
It goes without saying that Darrell will mostly be doing “self catering” while they are away, having taken enough provisions for every eventuality, including, I think, feeding the whole site, should the catering go down due to an unforeseen happening ……..
…… all of which was quickly put away, though still with Darrell’s usual military precision ……..
……… because, what they really wanted to do first, after all their weeks of planning and journey down there was to hit the beach …….
…… to fill their lungs with all that glorious and bracing British sea air …….
……..and it really doesn’t any more wonderfuler than that, in October!

Excellent. Enjoy your holiday.
Thatcher's Haze sounds like Denis Thatcher, after a few too many gin and tonics, without the tonic.
Oh that beach looks so very inviting...JantheFan...I'll let you keep the cider though. JantheFan x
