It’s Easy To Forget We’re In the Midst Of Quite A Few Teutonic Plates

For the first time ever in Greece, we have a lift in our hotel, which is most welcome after a full on day lazing on the beach.

Nigel says the lift sign looks like a Greek lady and gentleman carrot, one in a good mood and the other a little on the vexed side, as indicated by the “V’s” (???)

However, it does serve as a saltatory reminder that Greece is in fact one of the world's most seismically active countries, so earthquakes are a common occurrence, although usually relatively mild ……

…….. so thankfully if the world has moved during any one of our Oddities ……

…… we’ve never been aware of the grinding and release of any teutonic plates in our vicinity, however with this in mind, as a precaution,  Darrell has now signed up for  the USGS earthquake notification service just in case.  What is he like?
