Our very last night in Hanioti ……….
…… and as per our time honoured holiday tradition …….
…… before going out for our last dinner ……..
……. we took a bottle of Asti Spumante, our most favourite celebratory tipple of choice to the beach ….
…… to watch the sun go down (on our hearts) and drink in the view, from the group of sun loungers that we had grown so accustomed to over our time away ……..
…… to toast our latest Greek adventure.
Needless to say, it was ……… emotional!
As was our last late night session evening on our balcony ……..
…… overlooking “our” beloved fountains, that we’d fondly christened the Bellagios, after the world famous dancing fountains in Las Vegas, what are we like?
And then, right on cue, as they had done on our first night, someone let off a few fireworks to bid, we like to think, a fond farewell to us!
That was it! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house …….. and after all that pure, unfettered emotion, we thought it best to retire to our beds one last time, as we had a very busy day ahead in the morning.
