Any Sort Of Exposure Not An Option

While Hugh is still waiting patiently for his new damp proof course to be done, he decided to throw caution to the wind  and go for a random, au naturel, exposed brick look in the hall ……….

……. something that obviously has not escaped the notice of Darrell ……

…….. who naturally is very impressed by this novel, interior design approach.  Thank goodness I can keep him on a very tight rein as far as the knocking down of walls is concerned, otherwise I know he’d be wielding his sledge hammer like a demon possessed as soon as we get back to The Towers and  “reality”.

Luckily, I have been able to point out to him that as most of the aforesaid Tower’s walls are plasterboard, the only thing he’d be exposing would be empty space and wooden supports, which would no doubt, in turn, result in countless writs in regards to our blatant breach of leasehold, not to mention the wrath of our grumpy upstairs neighbour, which might, thinking about it, be quite fun to witness!!!!!!   I think he’s got the message.  The machinations of our walls, sadly, are not for exposing.

Flats aren't quite the same as old country boltholes.
