Well, you don’t often see a huge chicken walking along a sweltering beach giving out flyers for a local restaurant every day, now do you ….
…… and it would have just looked plain churlish not to give said flyer just a little perusal after all the chickens mammoth efforts.
Well, our interest was piqued, as the flyer promised proper, real life, traditional Greek cuisine, which is always a must for us and so we all agreed (with no debate whatsoever) that it looked our sort of establishment and that we’d pay it a visit that very evening.
It did not disappoint, with us all ordering the pastitsio (the Greek version of lasagne), which is one of our very most favourite Greek dishes and something Darrell, despite his best efforts, hasn’t quite mastered yet!
But first, there was the complimentary flat breads and dips while we waited for it ……..
……. swiftly followed by some very delicious garlic bread and Spanakopita spring rolls, which we were all thinking was a very generous gesture. However, when yet another dish ensued, we suddenly realised that the waiter had mistaken our table number and we were in fact tucking into the next tables food! Oh dear, the poor man ……. we just hope it wasn’t taken out of his wages.
Finally our own dishes arrived …….. OMG ……… despite eating another tables starters …….
…… our dishes were wiped clean with gusto (and garlic bread)! It was…….. AMAZING …..
…… let’s just say we then didn’t have any room left for pudding! We thanked everyone very much for our wonderful meal and tipped generously, especially as we’d actually ate an awful lot more that we had ordered …… and all this from a chance encounter with a mahooosive chicken on the beach! OMG, we LOVE Greece!

A wonderful find, and a tasty meal.
In the hot sun, that mahooosive chicken must have almost been roast chicken.
