Poor Nigel, yesterday his little heart skipped several beats when he spotted (in his eyes) this beautiful Christmas cushion in our Evesham, very most favourite charity shop of choice for just £1.50. Perhaps it didn’t exactly fit in with Darrell’s carefully curated festive decor, but then when he picked it up, he found that it only had a working battery pack and lights that lit up all the windows in the house, well, that was it! It was a very emotional find.
However ……… as he reached the counter with his £1.50 in hand, he noticed there were a couple of small stains on the back and for the life of him, he couldn’t work out how we would be able to wash it properly as the lights were well and truly sewn in. He did ponder Darrell’s beloved Vanish spray, but what about the rest of the cushion?
So with regret, he decided to put said cushion back, more than a just a little crestfallen …… and so, henceforth, may I predict that now over Christmas we’ll be held captive spellbound to Nigel’s sad and sorry tale of the much considered (and sustainable) purchase ……. that never was. Heaven help us all!

Oh, dear. Never mind, Nigel. A great find, nonetheless.
I wonder if a couple of small stains on the back would have been a major problem, as no-one should see the backside! Oops. Ooh er, missus. I mean no-one should see the back side. (What a difference a space makes.)
Oh shame - but I'm sure there will be others like this around, but probably not at such a bargain price! Janthefan x
