It was five whole years last week since we left our spiritual homeland of Wolverhampton to start our new life in Evesham ……..
…….. and in turn it’s been five years since we last enjoyed the unfettered pleasures and privacy of having our own beloved garden ………
……. so on this anniversary Hugh wanted to share something very special with us, knowing that it was also very close to the time when we lost Andy (can you believe it’s been 9 years ago now?).
A few weeks before we said our final farewell to Castle Greysquirrell Hugh sent his man “what does” one his behalf to take as many plants and shrubs that took his fancy, and believe me, he fancied a lot ……….
…….. and the most special of them all were several large clumps of forget me nots, which, when Andy left us were in full bloom and so whenever we see them we always think of him and that time ………
It took a while, Hugh explained, however said clumps have now pretty well established themselves in part of Hugh’s garden and the patch grows stronger and spreads a little more each year……… it was indeed a poignant and emotional moment seeing them, each of us lost in our own thoughts for a while.
We then all sat on Hugh’s veranda, under his very romantic fledgling grapevine canopy to reminisce with tales of Andy………. his plumbing, his pond, his fish, his garden, his fishing ………
……… and how, no matter where we are, he’s always in our hearts …

Nine years, but forever in your hearts. And you can remember Andy in Hugh's garden, too. A special place, for a special moment. How wonderful.
Bless xx
