It has to be said that Darrell’s arachnophobia is pretty legendary ……
….. so when such a beast nonchalantly trotted across The Towers floor yesterday afternoon, poor Darrell found himself rendered totally silent, unable to even ask for a paper bag in which to breath. All he could do was stare at the spot where the spider had chosen to take a break.
However, it didn’t take long for Nigel to realise something was wrong, by following Darrell’s stricken stare, grab a piece of paper and glass to deftly capture said spider. It was all over in a flash, the spider gently and safely dispatched through the window, into the garden. Nigel had saved the day, but perhaps we could have done without him proclaiming that “Norbert” looked really cute and would have made a nice little pet ……..
…….. which made peeling Darrell off his perch, high on the back of the sofa take a little longer than we could have done with. Thank goodness for the restorative powers of a cup of tea and plain Hob Nob.

Well done young Nigel! Yest again, the boy dun gud. His tee shirt says it all - Nigel is a (super) star.
Great that you didn't kill it, either.
I love plain Hobnobs. All together now: I WANT A HOBNOB AND I WANT IT NOW!!!
In fact, I don't just want one Hobnob. I want a whole packet.
Well done on saving the spider - it is fraught with difficulties at times I have found! JantheFan x p.s. a Hob Nob is always good with or without a spider.
