Congratulations Your Maj …….

Today, well, what can we say, other than The Towers has been thronging with tangible and palpable emotion throughout the day.

er

We are living in real life, historical times, with history is being made, as no monarch has ever long reigned over us for a Platernity.

Darrell has done us proud, with a wonderful display of tiny cakes, like what is served at The Queen’s own Garden Parties, as Nigel knows only too well, as he actually went to one, about nine years ago, but sadly those photos have long gone, owing to an unfortunate, too awful to think about, deleting situation!

However, we raise our overflowing mugs of Asti Spumante, our celebratory drink of choice, to Her Maj to say a huge “Thank You”, for all those openings, tree planting and ship launchings ………

……. not to mention having to sit through countless Royal Variety performances and keeping your balance while standing up and waving in an open topped car on all those romantic, foreign tours etc. over the past 70 years.   Well done, your Maj”, we absolutely LOVE you!

Hmmmmm, I wonder …… if you lined up all the bouquets she’s been presented with over those seven decades, how many times they would go round the world …… and how many insects have ever crawled out of them onto her gloved hand?  What are we like?

Three Cheers, God Save The Queen…… and Hip Hip!

Losing the garden party photos was terrible. I know it doesn't help now but, about five years ago, I was advised to keep everything digital, that is important, in three different places.

At least you have the memories.

Mugs of Asti Spumante? Seeing as they are royal mugs, I hope Her Maj, the QE2 approves.

Hip, hip, indeed. But, hopefully, not a replacement one, like Maj's mum. Or more formally, Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon aka Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

I couldn’t agree more-I think the Queen is absolutely wonderful.
