We are only planning a very small, select and quiet tea for the afternoon of the Queen’s momentous Platinum Jubilee celebrations, however, we felt that we were in danger of being found wanting because although we’d found mugs from various other Queen’s Jubilees and our No. 1 Fan, Jan the Fan had sent us a wonderful souvenir teaspoon for anything we may need stirred or spooned on the big day, tea plates, preferably three in number, had been seriously evading us!
But then, our wonderful hero, Nigel, came up trumps, almost at the end of the eleventh hour, with a said trio!
Let’s just say, it was emotional…….. very emotional!
The little fella said it was like a spooky, late, great, Derek Acorah (RIP) type moment as he’d been looking at the poster for “Elizabeth” outside the Regal Cinema …….
……. thinking that we should, perhaps, consider taking out a months subscription to Amazon Prime in order to watch it, and then, 10 minutes later, he said he felt strangely compelled to go in the charity shop at the end of the road for a quick peruse, even though he’d been in there earlier that afternoon ……..
…… only to find, there they were, just sat sitting there, as if waiting for him. What can we say …… he’s done it yet again, saving the day in his own inimitable style. Where would we be without him?

Wow. Well done, young Nigel! A great find.
Maybe Derek Acorah has been lending a helping hand.
Nigel must have special powers so well done to him. I’ll be home alone so I’ll be raising my Union Flag mug to our wonderful Queen.

It was meant to be. A right Royal triumph! JantheFan x
