Cadbury Mystery Bar 02 - The Saga Continues

Following on from the other day, Darrell was true to his word and did indeed purchase a second Cadbury Mystery Bar 02, as we were convinced that it was exactly the same as the 01 Mystery one.

In the meantime we had also received a couple of clues from Cadbury’s. Originally we thought that the 01 one was either raspberry (as in ripple) or gooseberry, the later as Darrell thought it reminded him of an olden day Christmas from his childhood and remembered something about old, long gone Quality Street fillings, so the clue  “If nostalgia was a flavour, Mystery Bar 01 would be it” would have worked, except  that Quality Street were made by Rowntree Macintosh in those days, not Cadbury’s.

The clue for the 02 one was “The flavour of Mystery Bar 02 tastes a lot like childhood and summer (minus the swimsuit wedgies)” …… so we are opting for strawberry (or sand) for 02,  which doesn’t really say much for our so called refined palates, if we can’t even tell the difference between strawberry and raspberry, if they are indeed the right answer.

These bars are tying us up in knots and have caused a little too much heated debate for our liking, which is usual for the usually very peaceable Towers, so we’ve decided to just leave it there ……

Our final, final answers are …… 01 raspberry or gooseberry (as per our two entries) and then strawberry for the 02 one …….

….. and then not another word will be heard, unless/until we receive a call from Cadbury’s telling us we’ve won a share of the mystery prize ….. but trust us, the prize had better be worth our while after all this angst of a flavour type nature!

Cadbury have been very clever with this marketing ploy. You are having to think about it a lot.

Fry's did a chocolate bar with lots of different cream fillings. Did Cadbury's do something similar in years gone by? The nostalgia clue is about something they used to do in the past. Maybe they are hinting at one of the flavours in a bar similar to Fry's one.

Or maybe I am talking nonsense.
