Darrell spotted something on his Facebook feed that had him “….. just nipping out for a bit” up to Home Bargains ………
……. well, you know what he’s like for a bathroom essential ……..
He had to admit that he wasn’t really expecting much, our Home Bargains not being the largest or best …… tending to get Christmas in at Easter and Easter in for Halloween, but “ ….. never a faint heart is found in jest” as the saying goes.
Sadly, he didn’t mange to find the (£60???) shower gel that he had hankered for, but he wasn’t going to say no to a pot of nourishing body conditioner to take into the shower or a Brightening Honey Melt facial cleanser with manuka honey for his already peachy complexion, which would usually be well out of his price comfort zone ……
…….. but at 99p a shot it would be rude not to and for good measure he also popped a couple of the cleansers into his basket to put away for Christmas for Hugh, his best friend and mentor of all things that can be rubbed into your face and body!
By the looks of the shelf a lot of other people had fallen for seen the hype too, so Darrell reckoned once it was gone, it would be gone, only to be seen on eBay for goodness only knows what for!
And then, since Halloween is all but a couple of months away, he also availed himself of two Easter bunny tealight holders (reduced to 99p each). Well, it’s never too early (or too late) is it? Nigel suggested that we could paint them black and jewel the eyes and give them purple or orange tealights to make them the “Bunnies of all Evil” for All Hallows! What is he like?

Never mind Darrell. A valiant effort.
Maybe paint the bunnies in luminous or reflective paint, so when Iris and Bertie pick them out with their torches, they will shine in some eerie colour.
All is not lost - but oh my goodness those bunnies are soon going to turn bad....VERY BAD....pleased I don't live near Evesham! JantheFan x
