With 72 days to go before the Eurovision Song Contest Final, we now know who our hosts for the evening are going to be. No great surprise with Graham Norton, along with Julia Sanina as the representative from the Ukraine, also as anticipated. We rather like Alisha Dixon and from observation she’s won’t be prone to all the usual Euro exaggerated, hamming things up when she’s in presenting mode ………
To be honest, we’re afraid we don’t have a clue who Hannah Waddingham is, except that she looks like a feisty one, perhaps a foil for Alisha?
We are expecting several dramatic changes of gown during the evening, Graham excepted, which we hope are very wonderful and draw gasps. Darrell has been pummelling Hugh (his best friend and mentor of all things of a haute couture, dragesque type nature) for his insider knowledge, however to date his lips have been well and truly sealed.

Who will represent the UK in the contest this year is still clouded in mystery with lots of rumours flying …….. one name put forward is Rina Sawayama (again ????) ……. I guess we’ve just got to be patient. In the meantime we are working our way through all the other Eurovision runner and riders on YouTube.
Ukraine are currently second favourite to lift the trophy again .........
....... just behind Sweden (which sounds very, very familiar, but we cant quite put our finger on it at the moment) and a touch in front of Finland (A flamboyant, flamenco loving Incredible Hulk shall we say!???) ……..
…….. but who knows what will happen over the coming months, weeks and days before the Grand Finale, it’s all just too, too, too exciting for words!

Enjoy the show and everything that goes alongside it. I'm sure there will be appropriate food and drink, at least.

As Mr D said, Hannah is in Ted Lasso, one of our favourite tv programmes….the new series starts here on Amazon in the middle of March. I am NOT a football fan but I do love this series! And you’re right, she is very feisty!
Sorry I just checked and hubby was wrong….Ted Lasso is on Apple not Amazon.
