Nigel’s six monthly dental check up and scrape and polish seem to come round so quickly, but perhaps not quick enough for the little fella himself, as he and Jo, his dental hygienist of choice, seem to have a certain affinity, well, in Nigel’s eyes anyway!
So, with his next appointment looming Nigel was well prepared, he’d been looking over Darrell’s shoulder when he was putting in a Temu order, when he spotted the perfect “thank you” for the aforementioned Jo, for looking after his gums so well ………
……. a real diamond tooth pin to grace her uniform top and begged Darrell to add it to said order and when it arrived he was more than chuffed! What is he like?
Prepared, he couldn’t wait for the day he’d be called up the steep stairs to Jo’s third floor surgery to give it to her, once his routine clean was done.
Jo once again found Nigel’s mouth and gums in exemplary and pristine condition, the cleaning was a mere formality, he informed us later.
And Nigel’s little gift? Let’s just say she LOVED it and put it on there and then.
Nigel was thrilled ……. but not so thrilled at the thought of having to wait until April 2024 to see his beloved Jo again. Heaven help us all until then!

Nigel! How could you? A SCRAP??!! :)
What a thoughtful gift, Nigel! I suppose you owed Jo something, after the scrap.
What a lovely thought from Nigel, I'm sure receiving a very apt gift from a dental patient is a rare thing indeed, at least it was light enough to carry up the three floors. What is it with dentists and stairs? We have to do about the same amount to sit 'our' chair too. I'm maybe not quite a buoyant going to have my teeth looked at Nigel but it has to be - and it will be very soon. These appointments come around way too quickly indeedy! JantheFan x
