Nigel, A Master Of His Art …….

It has to be said that Nigel is a master in the art of “finding” ……..

……  there being nothing he loves more than a slow and measured gander in the 10p corner or 50p boxes outside one of the charity shops in town, whenever he’s up there.

It may look a pile of old junk to some of us merer mortals ………

….. but Nigel says that it just takes patience, everything needs mulling over with due consideration, leaving no saucer, wicker thingy  or chipped mug unturned to discover the true treasures.

A 50p lurex top to Hugh, Darrell’s best friend and mentor of all things of an all things type nature, could be the most perfect gift, the must have apparel when in the garden supervising his man “what does” pruning his hardly pandemoniums and the beauty is that he doesn’t even have to know it only cost Nigel 50p.

So, what did the little fella come home brandishing aloft, that made his heart sing this morning, I hear you ask ………

……. only a tiny Nigel sized cheese grater to grate the perfect sized cheese for a proper Nigel sized cheese sandwich, that’s all! No more huge grated cheese in Nigel’s beloved sandwich of choice from henceforth, forthwith and from now on. How brilliant is that?

Plus ….. a little, grass head, monkey pot for growing cress in, a little more obscure, but there again I can see that there could be a theme going on here, with Darrell’s famous egg and cress sandwiches being Nigel’s fifth most favourite sandwich for afternoon tea.

Nigel also found a tiny, ceramic, spring time brooch, this time for 50p, which he says he’s going to put somewhere safe until the right occassion arises to give to one of his many lady friends and admirers.

Quite a haul for just 70p ……..what is he like?

Great job Nigel!

Being vegan at home (which is 95% of the time) I really miss strong cheese and I would love some mature cheddar, which I haven't had in ages. A bit of Red Leicester would be most welcome, too.

As someone once said to me - It's the little things in life that matter. And that is sooooo very true. Three little treasure that will make Nige and his chosen lady friend very happy. That's what life is all about. JantheFan x
