Well, it has to be said that the snowy weather was expected ……..
……. so yesterday the communal garden of The Towers found itself in the midst of a heady and romantic combination of “blossom and snow” to misquote the Sound of Music’s Edelweiss.
However, though it snowed for most of the day on Wednesday and well into the night, sadly it did not stick …….. but that said, it didn’t quell any of young Nigel’s excitement, he still got out his sledge from several Christmas’s ago and rode those waves ……….
…… and yes, in bare feet, as he could see that what snow we did have was vanishing quickly and he was far too impatient to wait until Darrell had dug out his wellies and several pairs of warm socks for him. Nigel can certainly be a hardy little beast when more exhilarating pleasures must!
Needless to say Darrell then worried about Nigel developing chilblains ….. so towels were duly boiled, hot water bottles filled and a pan of his magical, warming homemade tomato soup set on the hob to simmer, waiting for the little fella’s return to “civilisation”. Happy, if very cold days …….. what are we like?

Nigel certainly didn't hang about! He's a tough little fella, too.
Nigel certainly looks like he’s having fun. As you know I live on the coast & it’s very unusual for us to have snow that sticks…guess what? Everywhere is covered in a few inches of snow .
