Dark Maltesers – We Finally Found Them.

Well, apres mucho searchingo, we’ve finally got our little mitts on a share bag of Dark Maltesers …….

…… we were admittedly very apprehensive in the trying of them because, as you know, “normal” Maltesers really are our confectionary choice of all time  …….

…… and, in general, we prefer to remain relative strangers to the darker genre of chocolate, as, to put it simply, we don’t really like it!  However, as almost renowned aficionados of the milk chocolate variety of Malteser it would look rude of us not to try them.

The unmistakable strong and robust whiff of dark chocolate hit us immediately Darrell opened the bag and then poured its contents onto our awaiting cut glass plate as befitting such a select comestible……

I think we knew then ……. but we persevered ………..

Let’s just put it as delicately and politely as we can ….. erm …… after only one ball apiece, with regret ……….. it’s a “no” from us!

An unequivocal no nom nom, something of a rarity for us. Such a shame.

Thank goodness then for Darrell’s indispensable vacuum sealer as the rest of the bag was resealed to keep the contents fresh, for the time when we can pass them on to someone who will be able to appreciate them on a far higher plain than us confectionery philistines.

This is most disconcerting…… suffice to say, we won’t be going over to the dark side for the moment.  What are we like?

Ah, well, never mind. At least you tried. Milk chocolate Maltesers are nomtastic. Given a choice between the two, I would avoid the dark side, too.

Yes - not nice on the dark side. They won't be on my Christmas list - but thanks for the review I might have given them a little try. JantheFan x
