We were truly blessed in a Hello Magazine type way this Christmas with such lovely, thoughtful presents, it was, at times, during junctures of the unveiling …….. emotional!
From Iris and Bertie we had a beautiful notebook, with memories of some of their very early days with their proud uncles on the cover and on the back.
Let’s just say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when we opened it.
It’s always hard to start writing in a new notebook, you don’t want to be found wanting in the handwriting stakes, sullying the crisp, pristine pages with awful scrawl and splodges ……. but what to write?
Little did we know on Christmas Day how quickly this wonderful book would soon come into play, as we are now using it for making all our notes etc. pertaining to our home schooling, to pass between ourselves between “shifts”, so that nothing, like when Art Attack or Blue Peter are on is missed. Darrell even has a register a deux and a section for suggested school lunches and snacks, what is he like?
And, speaking of Darrell, LuLu gave him something she knew he had always had a very long felt want for …………
…….. only a beautiful, shiny red Christmas planner with gold printed dividers, Christmas organisation being his “thing” ………..
Needless to say there was more unbridled festive emotion when he saw the carefully chosen contents of his parcel. He’s already added sections for interior and exterior décor, timetables and rotas for jobs to be done on which day in December plus pages for our food, present, card and postage budgets, not to mention recipes! He’s been like a dog with two tails and two balls since he’s had it. I don’t know how she does it but LuLu, bless her, always manages to find the most perfect presents for everyone.

Both are such thoughtful gifts. A great deal of thought must have gone into these. Well done to Iris, Bertie and LuLu!
What a wonderful gift, I like being organised too. It looks perfect. JantheFan x
