Santa Dun Gud ……

You find us this morning, far from The Towers, in wonderful, blustery Weymouth, our surprise, off the piste, scheduled, Christmas present from Santa. Last week, behind the scenes, Darrell was frantically packing as is his want, but now he can just relax, as we are actually here, in real life, at the Weymouth Bay holiday park.

The caravan Santa picked out for us is perfect, he knows us so, so well!

The kitchen is well up to Darrell’s very exacting standards. I think he has bought enough food with him to cater for at least ten people for a month ……..

……. but he says, he always likes to have an ample selection of choice  when we are away, because although we might really fancy meatballs for tea before a full and varied day of sightseeing, we could have totally gone off the boil upon our return, when only a chicken in white sauce vol au vent, with new potatoes and broccoli will do, what is he like, but I know what he means!

We’ve got all the comforts of home with two “proper” settees, a dining table and chairs and two secret bonkettes/pouffes (?) secreted within the coffee table. Darrell says it’s the way of holiday caravans these days, no more having to rearrange the whole room just to  go to bed and vice versa, plus it’s so much easier to clean, behind and under when everything just pulls out, especially for the cleaners, when park guests have left!

But I digress, ……. happy first holiday of the year to us …….. let our adventures commence!
