Oh my goodness, the excitement that thronged The Towers yesterday morning was almost impossible, following a knock on the door from Rob, our lovely postman, handing an envelope over to Darrell, in person, saying that he thought it looked toooooooo important to simply pop in our mailbox.
And yes, Rob’s spooky Postman senses were indeed correct, because in said windowed envelope was Darrell and Nigel’s long awaited and much anticipated cheque from Take a Break Fate and Fortune magazine for their collaborated holey stone letter.
It was a very, very proud and extremely emotional moment ……
……. a huge cheque for £25 pounds with no pence, that was then swiftly deposited up at our local TSB and into our Greek Odyssey account, to put towards a slap up souvlaki kebab and all the trimmings when we hit Hanioti later in the summer.
Happy, happy, happy days and thank you very much Fame and Fortune magazine!
