Look what I found in the kitchen drawer.  It’s a mini tape recorder.

No one wanted it, so I’ve had it.

I am going to sing into it to see if I am any good for X Factor and if I have any good ideas but don’t have a pen and paper with me, I can just say “ Don’t forget to pop into Tesco because Rice Crispies are two for one” – BRILLIANT!

I think the French call it an Aide-Memoire.

It’s a magical fish that tells your fortune, isn’t it brilliant?



You put it in the palm of your hand and it moves mysteriously. How it moves, means different things.



When I tried it, it curled up into a tiny little ball at first ………. which means I am VERY passionate but by the time I had this photo taken it had decided to straighten out which means I'm "a dead 'un"

Happy Haggis Day

25th January is Haggis Day and who am I not to celebrate?

Now, I love my food as you all know, but I have to admit that I don’t find this particular dish very appealing…………

BUT, my Great Gran would say “ Don’t say you don’t like it, ‘till you’ve tried it!”,  so I will try some, but don’t think I can eat a whole one.

So, bring on the neeps and tatties ….

This was so much fun.  There were no bikes in the bike shed so I went and played for ages until the caretaker came over and said I should be careful, this put me off a bit …. next time I will wear my helmet.

Hanging on the Telephone!

I am not very keen on the music they play when you are waiting in a queue on the phone.

And it’s very embarrassing when you start humming or la la-ing to the tune to alleviate the boredom and someone suddenly answers your call while you are in full swing.

Sometimes when the machine says that the call may be recorded for training purposes I ask if I am actually being recorded, and then use posh voice or ask if they can send me a copy of my call!

I’ve Got Green Fingers.

The ladies in the office were given an amaryllis for Christmas. They have called it Richard. It’s brilliant, it grows everyday!

I have been put in charge of measuring it, and seeing how much it shoots up each day.  I might make a graph.

The PE lady bought her amaryllis over to the office after seeing Richard, because it hasn’t done anything yet. I am talking to it and patting it to make it feel loved ….. I have called it William.

What’s In My Pocket Thursday

I love torches.  I had this one for Christmas off one of my mates.

It’s a clockwork windy up one and is very handy to have on my keyring when I am looking at bus timetables in the dark.

Lucy bought herself a new hat because her ears were getting cold with all this snowy weather.
 
She let me try it on, but it was far too big!

But it is so cute.

Remembering times like when Lucy used to help her dad mix his groundbait ready for when he went fishing.

George the Banga Bus Driver stops at the bus stop by our house on the hour, every hour, except at 2 o’clock, when he has his lunch hour. We waved to him every time he went past and he waved back.

Jelly Fish Alert

No, I haven’t been to an aquarium and I haven't got any new pets ....…

This wonderous object is a mood lamp.

It changes colours.

And the jelly fish move slowly round.

I can’t take my eyes off it.

But Lucy doesn’t like it at all, she says it's creepy and gives her goosebumps!
