Nigel’s swanlings continue to do well, in fact, they appear to be really thriving …….
……. and last night there was much excitement when Nigel spotted that they had even ventured up river as far as The Towers ……
But then ……. it got to Nigel doing some really deep pondering ………
……. in our year by the river he said that he had seen lots of various ducks and their ducklings, as well as his beloved swans and their swanlings ……. 
…….. but he can’t ever remember seeing any of the Canada geese with their baby gooslings ……. and we have a lot!
He also noted that they also seem to be roughly the same size ……. do they, he wondered, go back to Canada to have their babies and then leave them there, after that, he said his brain hurt! What is he like? Mr D?

Maybe they are all fully grown by the time they reach the UK.
Deep pondering can be hard work no matter our age!...perhaps there is an explanation Nigel will know some day....enjoy the river views....Love, Dianne
