Darrell says he is suffering from a slight case of garden envy ………
…… as Hugh’s garden is looking pretty wonderful ……….
……… with or without his swimming pool.
Rules are very strict at The Towers, where even the tiniest of hanging basket or pot are on the strictly verboten list ………
…….. which is very sad and has us occasionally pining for our garden back in the homeland ……..
……. but true to his very kind and generous nature Hugh has told Darrell that if ever he feels the urge to have a good fork or the call of the hoe, he is always most welcome to till the soil a la Chicken Coop
Hugh himself admits to being a total stranger to most tools of a gardening type nature ……..
……. that’s why he has Mellors ……..
……. but, when the mood takes him he says that wielding a pair of secateurs and filling his trug with the odd rose or dahlia makes his come over all romantic in a fragrant Joanna Lumley sort of way
It has to be said that Mellors Hugh’s grapevine is looking very impressive…… with Darrell couldn’t help but thinking that when the harvest is collected, Hugh’s (empty) swimming pool would make a most splendid place in which to tread them, but has thought better of sharing such a thought with Hugh at the moment. What is he like?

p.s. Just been reading a bit about Jimmie Rodgers this is quite interesting, it's a shame this happened to him though.
