This morning we had hoped to bring you up to speed with all our Christmas and New Year shenanigans, what with our being away and then coming home with much to do, but on Saturday we were rocked with the news that our very beloved Derek Acorah had died suddenly after a very short illness.
We are totally devastated. We LOVED him. He was our constant if ever one of us had feelings of a spooky type nature ...... and as you know, we certainly have a great many of them. It's been hard to know what to say and even harder for the news to really sink in.
Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have experienced the Derek phenomena, in real life when we all went to see him at The Grand Theatre back in the Homeland of Wolverhampton, goodness how many years ago now. Sadly no one came through for us on that occasion, but just being in the same "room" as Derek just gave us the tingles.
And who can forget back in March 2013 when Derek completely floored us by sending us a signed photo after hearing about just how much we adored him. http://mumsmonkey.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-gift-from-derek-acorah.html
It was and still is one of our greatest treasures.
His last post on his Facebook page for 3rd January said that life is too short ....... a sentiment we hold only to well ...... life is too short .........
Hopefully Sam, Derek's Ethiopian spirit guide was there to take his hand as he passed and they are now sharing, for the first time the celestial plains together ........ God bless Derek, we will miss you, you gave us so much fun over the years ........ and we will continue to refer to you whenever one of us comes over all psychic and spooky xxxxxx

I only knew Derek through mum and her monkeys. I have never seen him on the television or read about him in the newspapers, but he was very popular in this blog. RIP.
Sad news indeed. RIP Derek. Home with Sam. JantheFan X
