Bargain Hunt Comes To Evesham Marina

OMG, for all the watching we do from our back window we are totally devastated that we missed……

……… can you believe …….

……. the BBC filming at the marina for Bargain Hunt …….

……. especially as it has to be one of our top ten programmes of choice when it comes to day time viewing.

Evesham Marina

They were sooooooo close, yet soooooooo far, I can’t tell you how gutted we are ………

……. had we known that they were there, we could have invited them all over for one of Darrell’s wonderful afternoon teas and to perhaps even appraise one or two of our erm ….. antiques (charity shop finds)!

One of the presenters,Philip Serral, must even have driven passed us as he took a trip up the river on one of the barges, aghhhhhh, so many, many lost opportunities.

Oh well, you can guarantee we are not going to miss a single programme until we get to see it, but I draw the line at Darrell wanting to record them all as there must be thousands of episodes by now!

From our calculations Series 56 is currently being aired, so we reckon “our” episode is most likely to be part of Series 57, yet to be aired, so checking on I-Player once a week may be our best bet.

We are now also busy speculating where they actually did their bargain hunting, we have one, possibly two places in Evesham they could have visited or there are quite a few other places just outside the town like Bonds, a favourite haunt of Darrell and Lucy on their days out.

It’s all very, very exciting, it’s just a pity we missed it …… but also, in a way, very fatuitous that they got it in there just before the work on “our” bridge was about to start.

Oh, no! How terrible to miss it. At least no surprises have been spoiled, when you do get to watch it, on the box, rather than in real life.

Imagine how long it would have taken Darrell to get sartorially elegant, prior to going over there. It would have entailed many calls to Hugh, his mentor, and expert, in all things televisual.

One of my favourite programmes boyz. I'll watch out for it when the new season starts. JantheFan x
