It has to be said that we all enjoyed quite a romantic weekend …. as far as the cycle of the moon was concerned ………
……. because on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings we basked in the light of a full and glorious Snow Moon.
Darrell was a little disappointed in not being able to capture the reflection of said moon in all it’s sublime beauty on an eerily still river…..
……. one, because the barge on the other side was in the way and two, because he has, as of yet, failed to master any of the subtle nuances of the scenic settings on our camera, photography no quite being his thing.
However, as I told him, the magic of the nights had been captured in our hearts and our memories …… and that was special …….
…… especially as the two strings of solar lights we had clubbed together for with Kata, our lovely neighbour across the hall, had started to charge after all the early spring sunshine we’d also enjoyed ……..
……..and were twinkling like nobodies business right along the fence in front of our flats and the river …….
……. it was ………. emotional!
So here’s to the next full moon in March, which Nigel, in particular, is looking forward to, mainly because of it’s name. Well, who wouldn’t be intrigued by the thought of a “worm moon”?

Excellent, especially with the lights that you and Kata bought.
Whatever you do, don't mention the "bottom moon" to Nigel. If he drops his trousers, he could get himself arrested.
Yes the moon was rather beautiful that weekend I have to say and those twinkling lights will have made it extra special.....no 'bottom moon' mentioned in this post, we wont go there of course. JantheFan x
