It’s Pancake Day!

It’s Pancake Day, and just in case I didn’t know, Darrell and Nigel were up at 6.30 this morning, all excited, banging and clanging like nobody’s business, making them!
They said, that they were determined to embrace the day and the occasion, especially as we are on half term, and they were going to make every second count!!
They also said that they are going to make and eat one, on the hour, every hour …….. to prepare themselves for all the abstinence ahead!  Abstinence from what ……? I dread to think!Anyway, pancakes for breakfast is a no go area for me, I have told them that I will be more than happy to have mine for tea, and one, perhaps two, would be an ample sufficiency, adding that if they felt a little “off” after their marathon, they are not to come groaning to me for sympathy!

One an hour, on the hour, is a huge amount of pancakes, especially for little Nigel.
As my mam would say, his eyes are bigger than his belly.
