Much Harder Than Darrell Thought

Oh dear ....... following on from yesterday, the happy humming and music coming from the main bedroom evaporated all of a sudden, first there was silence as the radio was switched off, followed by several frustrated aghhhhhs and then finally heartfelt sobs from behind the door.
It seems that painting an entire room had turned out to be a much harder job than Darrell had first anticipated. His only other sojourn into the world of the paint roller and masking tape had been when he painted a small part of the wall, behind the bed in Nigel and his room, and I think the success of that had buoyed him into a false sense of confidence.
He just couldn't do it, he announced sadly, without the hint of a single sign of a flounce, which told me that it was serious when he emerged from the room. He knew he was a perfectionist, but it was all too much for him, despite using miles and miles of masking tape, cutting in had totally alluded him, he was, he said, admitting defeat, this was a job for a professional!
So phone calls were duly made, and well, what can I say ...... we have found a very nice gentlemen called Trevor who has promised to put right all Darrell's "wrongs"! This time we will just be supplying gallons of tea and an ample plateful of Hob Nobs and letting Trevor work his magic ......
....... leaving Darrell to simply concentrate on all the frou frou, which, he admits now, is what he does best!

Don't be despondent Darrell, you gave it a good try. I'm sure even Hugh get a 'little man' in to do his painting and decorating.

A valiant attempt, Darrell. I'm sure Trevor knows what he is doing.

I tell you something though, I bet Trevor doesn't look half as handsome in a bonnet de douche as you do Darrell. JantheFan x p.s. if you can get someone else to do a job, let them do it, that's my thoughts.
